From time to time Microsoft Outlook adopts quite an annoying habit to hang around even if the user persistently attempts to shut it down. This problem existed in earlier versions and it may occur with recent Outlook 2013 and 2010. So for about the past month, my Outlook constantly freezes, the window grays out, and I get a "not responding" error message. Sometimes you have to run scanpst multiple times on the same pst until it corrects all the errors.
Sometimes, Outlook might not work if other Office-related processes are still running. You can end all office-related processes in task manager to ensure a fresh start. Begin by creating a brand-new profile for Outlook and set it up with a POP email account. If it opens successfully, the problem isn’t with Outlook but with the PST file from your previous account, which can be damaged. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to complete these steps. If your antivirus software isn't up-to-date, Outlook may not function correctly.
While attempting, the damaged program or an out-of-date can cause this error. You can sort out this issue with the help of some common configurational changes.
